Love or Stress Month?!

Yippee!!! It is February once again. Some people called this the Love Month. Are you thinking now why? Maybe you are right because February 14 is the date of the very popular day for lovers, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!! People called this the love month. What is this love month really is?

February is second month in the calendar hanging in our doors, windows, cabinets or even put in our tables or in our pockets. It is the shortest month and the only month with fewer than 30 days. February has 29 days in a leap year and 28 days in a normal year. February was named after the Latin ter februum, which means purification. February begins, astronomically speaking, with the sun in the constellation of Capricornus and ends with the sun in the constellation of Aquarius. Astrologically speaking, February begins with the sun in the sign of Aquarius and ends in the sign of Pisces.
There are many events happening in this month. There is the most popular, the St. Valentine’s Day, for lovers, for soon to be lovers and for your love ones. In this month of the year 2007, happen the Ash Wednesday. Where you will start having feast for Fridays. And in this month also is the National “Shake Your Booty” Month, which is popular in United States.
Intelligently speaking, February begins on the same day of the week as March and November in a common year, and on the same day of the week as August in a leap yearOn a few occasions in history, February has had 30 days. February in the Northern Hemisphere is the seasonal equivalent to August in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. February's birthstone is amethyst. February's birth flower is the violet or primrose. The Chinese floral emblem of February is the peach blossom.
Are you thinking why am I writing this “info” about February? Well, it is that some people called February as “Love Month”, but for me and for my classmates or even the whole second year students, this is a “Stress Month” for us. Are you now asking why? Hello!!! First week we will start practicing for our play, second week we will have preparations for the Sci- Tech week and for our Family Day. Third week will be our Sci-Tech week and the last week will be the Family Day and the practicing for our play. We all have to do practicing, designing and some other doing for this month. We all have loads to do and also different tests and projects. Everyday, new lesson and new works to do. Wait!!! Relax!!! Before I will faint of trying to remember all of this, I will ask a queastion, “Is it very stressful?”
After reading this, I hope you can also conclude that the different months of the year has a porpuse. Even it is a relaxing month of you, full of loads will also be given to you. Same as February, people said it is the “Love Month” but for us, it is the “Stress Month”. This is the start of our struggle. Welcome to Love Month or Stress Month?!
